Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Traian Moldovan got the match started through his kick off. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Traian Moldovan got free with Julio Vera in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionel Panaitoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ovidiu Popescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Idar Reistad came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ionel Panaitoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agustín Saelices's late challenge caught a Phoenix Strikers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustín Saelices helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball.

Cristinel Eftimiu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phoenix Strikers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Ionel Panaitoiu, making the score, 0-5. With a little luck, Phoenix Strikers's Ionel Panaitoiu got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Ionel Panaitoiu however easily saved by the left post. Traian Moldovan scored 1-5 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 69 played minutes Phoenix Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Idar Reistad. Phoenix Strikers made a substitution. Horaţiu Dinulescu replaced Mauricio Quentin.
