The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Janoško read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Janoško saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Czeslaw Koperski in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. The long shot by Edward Roman in the 46th minute really tested Thiago Pliego's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Marian Janoško didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Fortuna 86 Szczecin's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Janoško came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fortuna 86 Szczecin booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Janoško. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Marian Janoško played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 64th minute of play. Fortuna 86 Szczecin made a substitution. Lukasz Wielopolski replaced Miroslaw Gecionis. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Stasio Domeradzki was substituted for Filip Marud. Marian Janoško took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa had several of the Fortuna 86 Szczecin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Marian Janoško as he didn't even see the shot coming. Czeslaw Koperski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Marian Janoško in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Marian Janoško played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Carballar in the 88th minute of play. Guillermo Fontirroig made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Marian Janoško managed to reach the ball for a save. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fortuna 86 Szczecin.
