Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Tobias Xacintu got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saturnino Romo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Romo in the 36th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Romo in the 40th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Diamant. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Julian Murillo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Reyes to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Jerzy Marchefka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 91st minute.
