In the 6th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Giliusson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Georg Giliusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Giliusson having to make a save. Georg Giliusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Luis Andino's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Georg Giliusson - 0-4 was put on the score board in the 18th minute. The supporters of Quetzal Flyers Hammers booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play forced Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Georg Giliusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Quetzal Flyers Hammers defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Giliusson. The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Giliusson should have stopped the shot. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Georg Giliusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georg Giliusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Georg Giliusson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Giliusson having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Giliusson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. With a little luck, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Georg Giliusson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Georg Giliusson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Giliusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Luis Andino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. With a little luck, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Georg Giliusson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 84 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Georg Giliusson, 1-9. In the 87th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Georg Giliusson. Georg Giliusson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-10. After 90 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 1-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Giliusson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Georg Giliusson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quetzal Flyers Hammers throughout the match.
