The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Peruxu having to interfere. Ambrosio Indalecio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Indalecio in the 5th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Vamos los PIBES's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Anacleto Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ambrosio Indalecio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ambrosio Indalecio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Indalecio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Vamos los PIBES's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Anacleto Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ambrosio Indalecio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Indalecio in the 54th minute of play. Vamos los PIBES's Ambrosio Indalecio got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Alejandro Baldovino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Baldovino in the 65th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Indalecio in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Feliciano Donzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Vamos los PIBES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Baldovino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute of play forced Vamos los PIBES's goalkeeper Anacleto Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Donzel in the 85th minute of the match. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vamos los PIBES booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Indalecio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ambrosio Indalecio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Rigoberto Mina fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Rigoberto Mina a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 97 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Indalecio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
