In the 23rd minute of the match, Cassius Byrne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luis Täger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 27th minute of the match. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Luis Täger made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Cassius Byrne got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luis Täger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Mendiola in the 39th minute of play. Parque Europa FC's Lionel-Andrés Messi got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel-Andrés Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Coronel Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Coronel Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Täger was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Cassius Byrne put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luis Täger. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Froilan Reyes got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 71 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Parque Europa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Campbell came free, but Luis Täger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sam Campbell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
