Frodo Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frodo Hernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of VILLARREAL UNITED's Frodo Hernandez. Frodo Hernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Frodo Hernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Luca Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 27 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frodo Hernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frodo Hernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Leoz's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frodo Hernandez. Frodo Hernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. 37 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. VILLARREAL UNITED's Turi Montaña quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. VILLARREAL UNITED's Turi Montaña managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 38 minute of the game. VILLARREAL UNITED's attentive Ion Sobera managed to snatch the ball when Macos Graciani made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frodo Hernandez having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tome Campoamor made the kick off in the second half. When Isidoro Mangas fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VILLARREAL UNITED's protests and gave Isidoro Mangas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Isidoro Mangas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frodo Hernandez. VILLARREAL UNITED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. 58 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goalkeeper Frodo Hernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Leoz. Frodo Hernandez came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. 70 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frodo Hernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. Frodo Hernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 73 minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Frodo Hernandez made a huge save. 82 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Frodo Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to VILLARREAL UNITED getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Frances Zapater hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frodo Hernandez. The goal made the score 0-18. The VILLARREAL UNITED fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
