The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marius Radovan was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Stătescu in the 20th minute of the match. Ibrahim Domröse hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marius Radovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Mustăcilă in the 53rd minute of play. Niculae Ionășescu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Aristide Vuia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Espiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Marius Radovan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a free kick in the 66th minute. Moises Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Stătescu in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Dunărea Călăraşi were awarded a corner. Aurel Stătescu went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Dunărea Călăraşi's corner Aurel Stătescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. After 72 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. Dunărea Călăraşi made a substitution. Maxim Cismaș replaced Aristide Vuia. In the 73rd minute, Esteban Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute, Aurel Stătescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marius Radovan made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. Dunărea Călăraşi's Ştefan Petru got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 94 minutes into the match, Dunărea Călăraşi's goalkeeper Marius Radovan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. After a defensive mix-up in Dunărea Călăraşi's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Radovan came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dunărea Călăraşi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
