Marius Radovan made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. After 14 played minutes Dunărea Călăraşi got a freekick which was hit by Moise Panaitoiu. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Raul Venegas hit a great ball. Aurel Stătescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Mustăcilă in the 26th minute of play. Niculae Ionășescu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Aurel Stătescu came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Dunărea Călăraşi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurel Stătescu couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes Dunărea Călăraşi got a freekick which was hit by Marian Mustăcilă. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Mustăcilă made a kick off. Marian Mustăcilă struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunărea Călăraşi. 53 minutes into the match, Marian Mustăcilă notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Dunărea Călăraşi's Marius Radovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Vuia in the 75th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Mustăcilă who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dunărea Călăraşi made a substitution. Maxim Cismaș replaced Aristide Vuia. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Dunărea Călăraşi's Ştefan Petru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 93rd minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ştefan Petru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Ştefan Petru could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Jacobo Nores however easily saved by the left post. Dunărea Călăraşi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
