Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Valentin Jósa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Valentin Jósa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from János Udvarhelyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from János Udvarhelyi in the 16th minute of the match. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Udvarhelyi in the 20th minute of play. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Patricio Costa took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised István Gerencsér. István Gerencsér dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 31st minute Joshua Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but István Gerencsér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when János Udvarhelyi sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Elemér Sárosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

István Gerencsér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes Kisgyőr.F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. János Udvarhelyi in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Gerencsér having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from János Udvarhelyi in the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Kisgyőr.F.C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When János Udvarhelyi came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Kisgyőr.F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that János Udvarhelyi couldn't finish the play. Alfréd Matolcsy hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. István Gerencsér made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 93rd minute of play. Kisgyőr.F.C. played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
