In the 20th minute Nedim Emekli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the game Ermis Xintarianos made a throw-in which Miltos Makris played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Emekli in the 23rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chile's Orlando Casaus got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Ermis Xintarianos. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Archibaldo Peñaranda hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes, Chile's Mariano Lacasa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Menios Chloros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chile reached it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nedim Emekli made a kick off. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Menios Chloros firmly grabbed it by the left post. Menios Chloros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Archibaldo Peñaranda hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Ermis Xintarianos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mean Machine's Nikos Kioupouroglou was substituted for Miltos Makris. Mean Machine made a substitution. Luca Milivojević replaced Lakis Mantarinakis. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Menios Chloros having to make a save. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Menios Chloros made a huge save. In the 85th match minute, Mean Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carles Pujol to maneuver through the defense. During the 88th minute of the match Ermis Xintarianos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ermis Xintarianos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ermis Xintarianos hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Xavier Figueroa in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mean Machine's Luca Milivojević.
