The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Herbert Kapera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Biagio Rosini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Biagio Rosini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Munno came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Lucky Number Team's Alessandro Munno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. In the 11th minute, Alessandro Munno reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 2-0. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Kapera having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Burelli in the 16th minute. Alessandro Munno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Kapera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso stood somewhat misplaced when Alessandro Munno came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 29th minute of play forced Lucky Number Team's goalkeeper Herbert Kapera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herbert Kapera. Herbert Kapera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Biagio Rosini came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Lucky Number Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biagio Rosini couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Biagio Rosini in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Seco to maneuver through the defense. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Herbert Kapera made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Biagio Rosini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Lucky Number Team got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filippo Monticelli ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 58th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Carmine Di Claudio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Herbert Kapera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biagio Rosini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Kevin Carballal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. With his leg Herbert Kapera managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 75 in the game by Francisco Seco from a close distance when the talented Herbert Kapera managed to make a qualified save. Lucky Number Team's players were relieved. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucky Number Team made a substitution. Attilio Orlandi replaced Biagio Rosini. Lucky Number Team's Emanuele Di Piazza was substituted for Armin Pari. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Herbert Kapera. That made the score 3-2 in the 83 minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Bruno Beldad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lucky Number Team the free kick. Bruno Beldad hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Attilio Orlandi came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Lucky Number Team's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Herbert Kapera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuele Di Piazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Lucky Number Team's Attilio Orlandi. But to his dismay, Attilio Orlandi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lucky Number Team.
