Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Kemen in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zabulón Carabajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zabulón Carabajal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Bertrand Sielens hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Van Kestbeek came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes, Celedonio Kemen made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Klavertje Vier's Zabulón Carabajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joery Hylen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute of the match FC Klavertje Vier got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iwan Marchefka ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Klavertje Vier's Iwan Marchefka to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philipp Van Kestbeek in the 44th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philipp Van Kestbeek to strike the kick off in the second half. Zabulón Carabajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Klavertje Vier's Claude Montens was substituted for Joery Hylen. In the 64th match minute, FC Klavertje Vier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Kemen to maneuver through the defense. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Van Kestbeek came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Lecointre tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zabulón Carabajal. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 89th minute. Zabulón Carabajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
