But to his dismay, Dragan Horčička quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Surovec in the 44th minute of play forced Pakorro AFC's goalkeeper Bogdan Samokovliyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute FC Barcelona were awarded a corner. Jan Plocek went to the cornerflag to take it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

FC Barcelona's Dezider Šindelka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cheng Le Xing in the 65th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match, Artun Filiz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dezider Šindelka was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Andrej Karásek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Barcelona's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
