But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Orlando couldn't finish the play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after One Piece FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Orlando Orlando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Orlando Orlando notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Orlando in the 29th minute of play. Inocencio Felipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Rivera during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Orlando Orlando managed to get in a good position for a shot. One Piece FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Orlando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Orlando in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Inocencio Felipo could save by the left post. In the 63rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Inocencio Felipo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Inocencio Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ederono Eibar kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Cordeara Sanjuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. One Piece FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Orlando in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cuartio Sesmilo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than One Piece FC throughout the match.
