Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Deissler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Zbyszek Jarosiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sebastian Deissler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 53rd minute of play forced Dynamo Kielce's goalkeeper Zbyszek Jarosiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbyszek Jarosiewicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Sebastian Deissler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Deissler in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Sebastian Deissler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Patricio Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zbyszek Jarosiewicz. The goal made the score 4-4. Dynamo Kielce were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
