When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Foddis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesare Barberio kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Orlando Casaus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Collins the free kick. After 94 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Casaus. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chile had played much better football throughout.
