With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pekko Rino in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. 10 minutes into the game, AC Collins's Pekko Rino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pekko Rino might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pekko Rino ran back to his position shaking his head. Colombia's Kevin Mastache managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Frank Di Toma in the 32 minute of the game. 34 minutes into the game, AC Collins's Cesare Barberio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, AC Collins's goalkeeper Donato Foddis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. 39 minutes into the match, AC Collins's Pekko Rino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donato Foddis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Mastache took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Foddis. Donato Foddis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Collins's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Colombia booed when AC Collins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulvio Oriali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Foddis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 47th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, AC Collins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio Oriali to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The tension between the Colombia and the AC Collins players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. AC Collins's Edinho do Nascimento was substituted for Pekko Rino. In the 62nd minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho do Nascimento came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Edinho do Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Foddis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Foddis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes AC Collins got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Furtado. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. In the 73rd match minute, AC Collins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Furtado to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, AC Collins's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Donato Foddis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Abram Secada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Foddis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Edinho do Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Furtado in the 81st minute of the match. Donato Foddis came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. But to his dismay, Kevin Mastache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 86th minute, Uci Hardon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AC Collins's Carlo Maestri got a free kick in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Mastache in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Foddis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 90th minute of play forced AC Collins's goalkeeper Donato Foddis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute of the match, Mel Önen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Manzanares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Donato Foddis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ignacio Mastache took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Foddis.
