If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 92nd minute William Mohamed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rothwell Park's William Mohamed. But to his dismay, William Mohamed quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Rothwell Park were victorious despite being under pressure from Paraguay for much of the match.
