Zulkarnaen Mandaga started the match with the kick off. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 4th minute of play. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zulkarnaen Mandaga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Fachri Puang came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mekki Item was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Bandung Tigers's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wang Zheng Yun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cristian Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Leopoldo Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 34th minute of play. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Item saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 46th minute of the match. Jose Manzanedo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 49th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Manzanedo to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Mekki Item in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerardo Pozo made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Orlando Casaus. 75 minutes into the match, Bandung Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Mekki Item reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zulkarnaen Mandaga struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandung Tigers. Bandung Tigers's Yoppie Duaramuri was substituted for Zulkarnaen Mandaga. Bandung Tigers's Mario Dandy was substituted for Leopoldo Azevedo. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bandung Tigers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
