A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Emilio Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Emilio Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Machado in the 32nd minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Werneck FC - DMZ's Emilio Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emilio Machados short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Machado in the 55th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Emilio Machado sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Werneck FC - DMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Paulo Luz went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Werneck FC - DMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
