Lucjan Gierlach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galaxy Team U18 the free kick. The supporters of Galaxy Team U18 booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Ferrant made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Galaxy Team U18's Fryderyk Wolicki. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 15th minute. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Aureliusz Mietus could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot 40 in the game by Aureliusz Mietus from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. Marek Skoroda charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marek Skoroda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Galaxy Team U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Skoroda to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucjan Gierlach made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 52nd minute. Leonard Furgat hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Lucjan Gierlach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 60th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aureliusz Mietus struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galaxy Team U18. After 65 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Galaxy Team U18 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Leonard Furgat came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Galaxy Team U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Furgat couldn't finish the play. Leonard Furgat kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Galaxy Team U18's Kazimierz Lichucki was substituted for Aureliusz Mietus. Galaxy Team U18 made a substitution. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Gierlach having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
