The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Facundo Cadaval got a very nice opportunity to score, but Domingo Bide was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, NYC United's Domingo Bide got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The NYC United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
