Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Isidoro Beltran made the kick off which started today's match. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Jorg Pieters left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Independiente's Pepe Santoro. Pepe Santoro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Roldan in the 20th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Jorg Pieters put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Beltran came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepe Santoro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes, Reynaldo Abadia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Reynaldo Abadia got a free kick in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Pepe Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match, Isidoro Beltran tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jorg Pieters kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Sören Bengtsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. When Jorg Pieters got free in front of the goal in the 65th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pepe Santoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sören Bengtsson took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 79th minute Jorg Pieters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorg Pieters struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Pepe Santoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Independiente's Reynaldo Abadia got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Reynaldo Abadia off the ground. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Independiente fully deserved thier win.
