Jonatan Bortzaioriz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cañada Juniors getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jan Malysz hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Felix Montenegro in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Malysz in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Batista's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Cañada Juniors made a substitution. 汪俊 replaced Frank Lembeck. The supporters of Cañada Juniors booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball.
