After 14 minutes of play, Universitario Pincharrata's Benito Ariando made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Universitario Pincharrata's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Javier Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Benito Ariando notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Namık Kemal Baytüze hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier Frederik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Marangoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Ryan West's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Universitario Pincharrata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
