Floresta Club U18's attentive Hudson de Souza managed to snatch the ball when Abel Carballo made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Lautaro Puig made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Floresta Club U18's Cafu Tinoco. After 20 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Floresta Club U18's Cafu Tinoco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 23rd minute of the game. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Felippe Vianna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Floresta Club U18's Hudson de Souza. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Floresta Club U18 defense, Eliseo Noboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurício Araújo. The Floresta Club U18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurício Araújo should have stopped the shot. After 47 minutes, Cafu Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Floresta Club U18 and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cafu Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Floresta Club U18's Maurício Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Club U18 from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Maurício Araújo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurício Araújo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Araújo having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Eliseo Noboa rounded Floresta Club U18's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Floresta Club U18's Hudson de Souza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Abel Carballo in the 74 minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Felippe Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Floresta Club U18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felippe Vianna couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Juan Rubio in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Floresta Club U18's Agnaldo Vaz. Agnaldo Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Rubio made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Puig immediately put the ball in play. Agnaldo Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Floresta Club U18 booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Floresta Club U18's Agnaldo Vaz. Agnaldo Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
