The Beneficiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lara Peñaranda should have stopped the shot. Lara Peñaranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Beneficiente's Luís Guilherme Cunha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Cunha in the 29th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lara Peñaranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 39th minute of play. Luís Guilherme Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Beneficiente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal. The referee gave Panama a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abraham Alguacil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda. 1-2.

The wind increased when Sidney Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Carneiro in the 53rd minute of the match. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Beneficiente's Laércio Aguiar got a free kick in the 57th minute. With an all-out effort, Panama's Lara Peñaranda threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 60 minutes into the match, Sidney Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lara Peñaranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 played minutes Beneficiente got a freekick which was hit by Zheng Guang Ning. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lara Peñaranda saved Beneficiente from getting behind. Luís Guilherme Cunha's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Guilherme Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Luís Guilherme Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 72 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Lara Peñaranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laércio Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Carneiro in the 80th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Edgar Appel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Beneficiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Motta Grazi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Beneficiente's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lara Peñaranda came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
