Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Baldomiro Txindoki on his right side and into the goal. 3 minutes into the game it was 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Orçun Yalınalp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Pietreanu in the 7th minute of play. Baldomiro Txindoki made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Pietreanu's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute, Nicolae Ungureanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomiro Txindoki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Txindoki having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Baldomiro Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baldomiro Txindoki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Txindoki having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Iulian Pietreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters rose to their feet, but Iulian Pietreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilson Arósio struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC UNIREA Alba Iulia. 46 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Baldomiro Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iulian Pietreanu made a kick off. Baldomiro Txindoki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Petrică Cândreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Pietreanu got free with Julio Vera in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomiro Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Baldomiro Txindoki. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Petrică Cândreanu sent off a good shot on target. After 78 minutes of play, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Petrică Cândreanu made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomiro Txindoki. Baldomiro Txindoki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Baldomiro Txindoki despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wilson Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
