Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mariano Lacasa kicked off to start the match. Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 4 minutes, Carlos Alberto Azevedo made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio. Teodoro Peio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teodoro Peio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Chile's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Baldomero Rodas scored to the left of an out of position Thiago Pliego, making the score, 2-1. After 17th play minutes Mariano Lacasa shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Teodoro Peio and just under the crossbar into goal. Teodoro Peio came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. In the 34th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 40th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Teodoro Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Peio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Peio was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nacional's Higinio Ofelio got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Chile were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Azevedo made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Peio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Teodoro Peio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Peio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teodoro Peio made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Rodas in the 68th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Vicente Sasoin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-5. 77 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa lined in a short shot 3-6 behind a frustrated Teodoro Peio. 80 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Peio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 82 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 3-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Peio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Peio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Peio. Atlético Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-8. In the 89th play minute Mariano Lacasa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Teodoro Peio. 3-9. Atlético Nacional's Teodoro Peio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nacional from getting a goal against them. The Atlético Nacional fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chile were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
