In the 61st minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Niceto Albizua saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st match minute, Mantequillosos CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Mantequillosos CF's Hori Marquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Mantequillosos CF were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
