In the 11th match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arūnas Pukelis to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Mustafa Kemal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mustafa Kemal. FK Mintis Vilnius's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Tomas Danilevičius could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. Mustafa Kemal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

50 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's Tomas Danilevičius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Hubertas Dabkevičius came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Dursun Soysal in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 58th minute, Kęstutis Latoža hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FK Mintis Vilnius's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Kemal came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tomas Danilevičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubertas Dabkevičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsrafil Yağız in the 73rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Kemal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Gallo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mustafa Kemal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Gallo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball.
