With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Puig in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo da Silveira saved Morrinhos Futebol Clube from getting behind. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nildo da Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. Nildo da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Mendes in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Fernandinho Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morrinhos Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Morrinhos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nildo da Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Morrinhos Futebol Clube booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Allan de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Morrinhos Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
