Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 5th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 11 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ulryk Bugajski. The supporters of Argentino de Buenos Aires booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Ocampo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Bugajski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Piarres in the 20th minute of play. After 23 minutes Argentino de Buenos Aires's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ulryk Bugajski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Samuel Hitz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Honduras's attentive Emanuel Ocampo managed to snatch the ball when Cipriano Ramone made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. Ulryk Bugajski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 34th minute of play. Luca Espinar's late challenge caught a Argentino de Buenos Aires's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Espinar helped the player get up and apologised. Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Rafael Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match, Rafael Piarres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Rafael Piarres sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Argentino de Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Rafael Piarres hit a great ball. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Argentino de Buenos Aires from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Honduras booed when Argentino de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Cordara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulryk Bugajski. Argentino de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulryk Bugajski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes in the game Cipriano Ramone did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gonzalo Marcones. 72 minutes into the match, Argentino de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Ulryk Bugajski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Sancho charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Sancho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Isidro Piorno was substituted for Cipriano Ramone. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Honduras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
