Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a Maravilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Facundo Altamirano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maravilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Maravilla's Facundo Altamirano managed to reach the ball for a save. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulus Van Poucke was slow to take the kick. During this time Maravilla's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Paulus Van Poucke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 59thth minute of the game Cruz Credo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Cruz Credo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Primitivo Txanton hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Cruz Credo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Vasco Gentil hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Facundo Altamirano having to interfere. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Facundo Altamirano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maravilla.
