Daniel Garcia made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ulryk Miazga. In the 19th minute, Fevzi Baykara made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 23 minutes into the game, Śląsk Bytom's Fevzi Baykara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Śląsk Bytom from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fevzi Baykara's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The supporters of Chile booed when Śląsk Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maciej Wietz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Brama. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Antoni Brama made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Śląsk Bytom's Ulryk Miazga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-3 after 61 minutes of play. A collision led to Śląsk Bytom getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ulryk Miazga hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antoni Brama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 66th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antoni Brama having to make a save. Śląsk Bytom's Antoni Brama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 68th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Śląsk Bytom's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Antoni Brama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
