Frank Nyman hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Nyman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Skyrim getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Frank Nyman hit a great ball. Christian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Skyrim got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Madureira. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Frank Nyman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Frank Nyman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Nyman struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skyrim. The supporters of Honduras booed when Skyrim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute of the game Armando de Sena made a throw-in which Miguel Amaral played forward. Sérgio Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Skyrim got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Madureira. Luiz Fernando Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 94th minute. Skyrim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
