Acácio Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ibis Football Club's Eurico Peixoto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 20th minute, Eurico Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Ibis Football Club's Amauri Lago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amauri Lago was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 30th minute, Eurico Peixoto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibis Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ibis Football Club's Eurico Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ibis Football Club booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave Venezuela a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Illescas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ibis Football Club's Acácio Vasco. 3-1. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Felipe Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Acácio Vasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute. Eurico Peixoto scored 4-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ibis Football Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
