Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 5th minute of play. Bruno Marceau hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. FFC Merainies 03's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Leon Craandijk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Ksawery Gongola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FFC Merainies 03 were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabio Botello took the corner. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Craandijk. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu having to interfere. In the 43rd minute of the match, Oskar Törnblom got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FFC Merainies 03 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Törnblom in the 52nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Fabio Botello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu having to interfere. In the 60th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after FFC Merainies 03's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu quite easily take care of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Leon Craandijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Craandijk came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a huge save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oskar Törnblom in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 96 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
