Anatoliy Gorskiy hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Janosch Stäger in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Janosch Stäger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Anatoliy Gorskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Janosch Stäger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 36th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Janosch Stäger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Araldo Wyder went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Araldo Wyder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Araldo Wyder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Patricio Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Janosch Stäger was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 63 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Janosch Stäger having to make a save. 69 minutes into the match, Aus Ende Vorbei's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Janosch Stäger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Janosch Stäger. Aus Ende Vorbei's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Janosch Stäger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play. When Sinclair Holliger fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aus Ende Vorbei's protests and gave Sinclair Holliger a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janosch Stäger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Araldo Wyder showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 92 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Aus Ende Vorbei's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janosch Stäger came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
