Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Pancha Futbol Club's goalkeeper Gilbert Cieliczka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthon Mellbad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pancha Futbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Primitivo Godoy in the 10th minute. Camilo Gisbert thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 11th minute which led to 0-1. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Gilbert Cieliczka made a huge save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Mellbad, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pancha Futbol Club's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Cieliczka came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Pancha Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Felix Montes made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Pancha Futbol Club's Gilbert Cieliczka managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthon Mellbad's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Pancha Futbol Club's goalkeeper Gilbert Cieliczka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Gilbert Cieliczka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Fan Qi Bin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fan Qi Bin was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilbert Cieliczka. Pancha Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Remigio Tancredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Anthon Mellbad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 60th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Cieliczka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Cieliczka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Pancha Futbol Club's Fan Qi Bin. But to his dismay, Fan Qi Bin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 78th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Cieliczka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Gartzi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Pancha Futbol Club's Maximo Gartzi. But to his dismay, Maximo Gartzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Pancha Futbol Club's Gilbert Cieliczka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Pancha Futbol Club echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
