The corner led Keszi Athletic's Aquilino Castelo Branco to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugó Révész in the 12th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Keszi Athletic's Sabin Calderon was substituted for Anton Kutnjak. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Vaios Vourtzoumis came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Claudinho Taffarel threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Claudinho Taffarel came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Keszi Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaios Vourtzoumis to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, 于平辰 made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudinho Taffarel firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claudinho Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Keszi Athletic's Vaios Vourtzoumis got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Vaios Vourtzoumis kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Keszi Athletic to leave the ground with a draw.
