The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Toninho de Moraes in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toninho de Moraes. The goal made the score 1-0. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Toninho de Moraes could save by the left post. In the 41st minute, Erasmo Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Sten Aher's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sten Aher helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play forced Piasecznica SA's goalkeeper Toninho de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 71st minute of the match Sten Aher shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Jaszyna, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute Erasmo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaw Buczak hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
