In the 7th match minute, Fúria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Juninho Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 10 minutes of play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juninho Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Juninho Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juninho Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Paraguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Pardo went to the cornerflag to take it. 26 minutes into the match, Fúria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Diego Tenorio came free, but Juninho Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juninho Teles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. Fúria FC's Juninho Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 31st minute of play. Juninho Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Pardo went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Teles having to interfere. When Wágner Dante came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Fúria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner Dante couldn't finish the play. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wágner Dante made a kick off. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Gilvan Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilvan Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Fúria FC's Juninho Teles got control of the ball when Hector Covarrubias tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Jaime Pardo put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Juninho Teles. Jaime Pardo's late challenge caught a Fúria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Pardo helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Pardo. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Vaz in the 80th minute of play. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Teles having to interfere. Hector Covarrubias might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juninho Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Covarrubias ran back to his position shaking his head. Fúria FC's Juninho Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Jaime Pardo made a precise shot to the right of Juninho Teles. Fúria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 93 minutes into the game, Fúria FC's Celsinho Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Paraguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fúria FC.
