The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liu Nan got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Felice. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute Federico Vida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Atletico Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Felice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmondo Colella kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Atletico Roma's Christian Felice got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Vida's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
