A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Raimundo Paiva with Wágner Dante as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wágner Dante went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

If Mateo Leguizamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Juninho Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moises Fernandino in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Marco Tamayo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Tamayo couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes El Salvador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristiano Corrêa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gilvan Vaz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Vaz in the 81st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moises Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Teles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Celsinho Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fúria FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
