Hervé Annette showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Benoît Lamarre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd minute, Rathmore Lime Tree's Hervé Annette dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hervé Annette showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hervé Annette. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Flavian Garcon sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Rathmore Lime Tree players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rathmore Lime Tree:s goal. 43 minutes into the game, Flavian Garcon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Flavian Garcon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavian Garcon in the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martial Hess charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martial Hess the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sofyane Valognes was a little too slow when Axel Tasis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 5-1. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 84th minute. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Rathmore Lime Tree's Adil Magaud got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavian Garcon's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adil Magaud in the 94th minute of play. Rathmore Lime Tree walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
