In the 32nd minute, Karim Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. The throw-in from Johan Dufrenne in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. In the 42nd minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofyane Valognes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentín Carvallo got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 45 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Cosme in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavian Garcon in the 81st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Rathmore Lime Tree's corner Benoît Lamarre fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 90th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rathmore Lime Tree throughout the match.
