Gaudencio Flor made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. Panama were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. Aaron Barrios lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panama reached it. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
