The supporters of بني سويف booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laureano Gómez's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Julio Vera - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Godoi. In the 28th match minute, بني سويف was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdel Monsef Ramez to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Dubiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bayhan Balcı hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the game, Cristian Sancho landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Gomaa Hamdy charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gomaa Hamdy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Cristian Sancho. A collision led to بني سويف getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gomaa Hamdy hit a great ball.

Felice Di Luca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Krzysztof Dubiel. Antonio Arias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A hard shot 64 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Krzysztof Dubiel managed to make a qualified save. بني سويف's players were relieved. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krzysztof Dubiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75th play minutes Daniel Zorita shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Krzysztof Dubiel and just under the crossbar into goal. After 84 played minutes بني سويف got a freekick which was hit by Bayhan Balcı. 85 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Krzysztof Dubiel threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Daniel Zorita this time. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. بني سويف's Hamza Walid was substituted for Abdel Monsef Ramez. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Krzysztof Dubiel made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the game, Bayhan Balcı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. بني سويف's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The بني سويف fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
